In one scene of the HBO series' season finale, she will reportedly reprise her role as Samantha Jones.
According to the publication, she didn't film her dialogue with any of the other series stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker.
The absence of Cattrall's character in a plot that has her moving to London is explained.

Between 1998 and 2004, the original Sex and the City lasted for six seasons and inspired two spin-off films.
For four New York women in the 1990s and the early 2000s, it produced narratives about their jobs and romantic relationships.
Parker and Cattrall played the roles of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte alongside Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
The 10-part And Just Like That television series featured Parker, Nixon, and Davis in 2021.

Cattrall apparently had a tense relationship with the show and her cast members, however, the reason she chose not to participate in the most recent revival was never made clear.
Cattrall admitted to Piers Morgan in 2017 that she has "never been friends" with her co-stars.
She opted out of participating in a third Sex and the City film, citing a "toxic relationship," and she disputed that her choice was influenced by pay talks or "diva" demands.
Parker, Cattrall's former co-star, "could have been nicer" about the circumstance, she said.
Later, the show's creator, Michael Patrick King, stated he couldn't see Cattrall joining the cast once more.
However, a purported discussion with HBO CEO Casey Bloys was sufficient to convince the celebrity to reconsider.
When And Just Like That's second season premieres in June, Cattrall's scene is anticipated to appear in August.
