A fresh online campaign has been launched against Meghan Markle because of claims that she was caught smoking in her Netflix documentary.
In the first sequence of the documentary where she and her husband Prince Harry discussed their union and their choice to retire as working royals, she was accused of smoking.
Following the appearance of the footage online, some royal admirers are asserting that Meghan Markle has started smoking.
Some of them claimed to have seen a puff of smoke rise from her hand in the documentary's opening shot.
The assertions appear to be false because the footage does not contain any evidence of smoke at the scene.
To support her allegation, one user slowed the video down and posted it on Twitter, but no smoke can be seen in that version of the video either.
Most of the people who made the claims were unwilling to provide evidence for why she would smoke in her Netflix documentary, which was intended to share their experience and help them become successful pairs.
